Traveling
I have visited Hiiumaa twice. I first went there in the year 2006. I went whit my mother and visited my mothers friend from school. She lived there during the summer. The second time I went there was last year. Everything was the same.
I have been to Jurmala in Latvia with my mother and relatives. We went there by bus. We swam there in the aquapark. And we bought some of Latvias ice cream.
I have been to Pärnu once. I went there in the second grade. I went there whit my mother, the 6th grade from my school then and its homeroom teacher that was a friend of my mothers.
I have been to Saaremaa once. My aunt Nora and uncle live there. They invited us over. We went there by a ferry-boat.

Elina: I went to Tenerife the last summer and I went to St. Peterburg last year.
Karlote: How did you travel?
Elina: I went to St. Peterburg by bus and to Tenerife by plane.
Karlote: Who did you go with?
Elina: I went with my grandmother to both countries.
Karlote: How long did you stay there?
Elina: I stayed in Tenerife for a week and three days in St. Peterburg.

Elina: I rested and explored the countries.

The tower of London is a famouse tower. It was a prison in the middle ages.
The Tower Bridge is a bridge in London. It needs 90 seconds to lift and it lifts 500 times a year.
The Globe Theatre is a famouse theather in London. It is a copy of Shakespeares theather that burned down a long time ago.
London Eye is a wheel in London. It is 135 m. long.
The Houses of Parliament's real name is the Palace of Westminster. In the year 1605 some people tried to blow it up, but they failed.
Buckingham Palace is the Queen's home in London. It has 600 rooms.
Trafalgar Square is a famouse square in London. It got it's name after The Trafalgar war.
Piccadilly Circus is the center of nightlife in London. The famouse statue of Eros is there, it's a great place to meet someone.
St Paul's Cathedral has a very special cupola. It's called Whispering Gallery.

Malaaria? Kanadas?
Kas sa oled kunagi põdenud malaariat? Kui oled, siis on võimalusi, et oled selle saanud soojalt maalt. Malaaria on enim levinud troopikalistes maades, eriti seal, kus on märg ja niiske kliima, seal saavad moskiitod, kes kannavad edasi haigust, areneda. Aga hiljuti sai malaaria rohkem levinuks Kanadas. Üks hiljutine ettekanne teatas, et üle tuhande inimese said selle haiguse aastal 1997 Kanadas ja see number tõusis iga aastaga aastast 1994. See on üks hoiatav trend.
Miks see malaaria oht siin tõuseb? Vastuseks on reisimine. Palju Kanadalasi reisib välismaale igal aastal ja nad saavad malaaria. Aga, kui üks naine Torontos sai selle haiguse, avastas tema doktor, et see naine polnud kunagi oma elus välismaale reisinud. Teda vist hammustas üks moskiito, kes oli selle haiguse saanud mõne teise haige Kanadalase käest.
